I have been. But I've started writing down things that happen here as well, so... I'm not sure I can just hand those over. [ woowoo should understand that right? even if she wanted to be an open book, a lot of what happens here is personal too.
also he's not allowed to a cheat sheet to teams she does or doesn't know 😠. ]
But still, he's not here to get roped into being my therapist. Writing it down's probably the best option. I'll just have to keep them all safe afterwards.
If I take it out of this place it won’t just vanish at the end of the week? I didn’t take anything out of the space location, other than my outfit so ...
[and he waves a hand at that, laugh turning sheepish]
The offer didn't stem from a desire to invade into your privacy - only to help. But so long as you feel assured in what you can do, then I'm perfectly happy for you!
I hope that it proves fruitful for you - I've been writing a few things down since we arrived, but it's a little disconcerting to see words that I know should mean something to me but... effectively don't.
[to which he sounds a little sheepish]
Though I suppose it helps in letting me know exactly what it is I've lost each week.
Like even if you can't read it just knowing it's there helps? [ she understands, woowoo. ]
I wanted to do that for my current memories, but when I was writing them down I realised I... don't really know what I've lost? They've either been so small that I can just look past them, or I've lost them so completely I don't even have an inkling something's missing.
While I can have a guess at other weeks... it's unclear for me what I lost just last week. It seems like everything's intact, and nothing's been brought to my attention of an odd missing space.
It seems like my notes weren't detailed enough, but it at least tells me that I need to be more detailed moving forward.
But a little memory loss is natural, isn't it? You tend to prioritise some events over others naturally, so little things can get lost along the way. Maybe your memory this week just wasn't as obvious as the others?
[ says alex, while i, becks, know that dana will have been picking memories like she's revving a motorbike to speed soo-won right off a trick ramp and into hell. ]
While that's possible... I'm not sure if this place is that kind. But I do like that way of thinking, so maybe I'll assume as much until proven otherwise.
It feels like we have a lot of those and not a lot of actual, proven correct knowledge yet, though. Both about how memory loss works and what's going on here.

[ ... ]
Yes, actually. It’s ... worrying me. Quite a bit.
no subject
... worried that we're going to forget why we're even here?
no subject
Why we’re here, that we’re trying to go home at all... where or what that home is. Who we all are... all of it.
no subject
they're all in the same situation after all.]
... would it make you feel better to write it down? I'd offer to hold onto your memories for you again -
But I wonder if that'd be as reassuring this time.

You could share it with Hansa, perhaps? If you feel more comfortable with him.
[they seemed close?]
no subject
I think he's already dealt with enough of me freaking out over this. It wouldn't be fair to pile more issues on him.

[his hansa impression.....]

He would!

Mm, I understand. Maybe you can borrow one of the chests from the pirate ship and use it for your own needs.

[but - ]
But worth trying, no?
no subject
[ hm. ]
I will, but... now I’m worried it’ll disappear anyway and take my notes with it.
no subject
... that's true.
Definitely ask before you actually try.
no subject
Yes. Yes, don’t worry, I will.
no subject
Then I suppose that's one strategy, to ensure that none but you could get to them.
I wish I could offer more advice on how to guard them carefully... but I'm afraid memory theft is still a new enemy I haven't been sure how to battle.
no subject
I'll figure something out for these. But you'll understand if I don't tell you where I'm keeping them, right?
no subject
