Xie Lian and I were encouraged to a room with two chairs. We sat in the chairs and words prompted us to let us know an enemy attack was coming - and asked if we were ready. Upon selecting 'Yes', we were knocked unconscious.
While unconscious... we encountered a few - emotional trials, I suppose. Difficult circumstances conjured from our pasts and our fears. I'm not sure of what he saw.
But nonetheless, we persisted and managed to escape. I only hope that sharing our experiences will make others feel more prepared in case they encounter similarly.

[off he goes!!]

[ Less work for him, and he surely already had a flavor in mind. ]
no subject
[but off to the kitchen they go! he really does seem to be moving around normally as he goes to brew their tea]
no subject
Also because she has about fifteen questions, but first things first. ]
no subject
though when it's done, he'll put it on a tray and offer a smile]
Let's find a nice place outside then? Some fresh air.
no subject
But she nods, settling into a stride beside him. ]
For the record, if this was me, I've no doubt you'd be fussing.
no subject
[and he'll walk along]
But I also trust that you'd tell me what you need, when it really comes to it. I care about you, and I know that you care about me too.
no subject
[ Wow, sir. ]
no subject
I didn't intend to?
no subject
... Well, if you can do that, though, you must be feeling better.
no subject
I've been feeling fine this entire time, Dorothy. I swear it.
[but there's probably a nice bench somewhere and he'll go have a seat and move to pour tea for them both]
no subject
Archer said you were dead.
no subject
Yes, twice over.
no subject
[ Okay, yeah, she's just making a noise. ]
no subject
he thought she was more prepared than that, and he glances over at her, mildly concerned.]
I'm right here, Dorothy.
Alive.
no subject
I'm fine. I know you're also fine.
It just didn't quite sink in until you said it so calmly.
no subject
.... I contemplate my own end from time to time - so it didn't catch me as off-guard as it might others. It's alright.
If anything, I'm surprised that I'm still here... but I'm grateful for that.
no subject
... Yes, well, I'd be very cross if you died twice without permission.
[ Another breath, and some of the tension drains from her shoulders. ]
So please give a possible third time a little more concern and preparation.
no subject
but he'll manage a soft smile at that]
I'll endeavor to do my best. I'd hate to make you truly cry over me, after all. That'd be unforgivable.
no subject
Absolutely. [ But her voice seems to have steadied. ]
... Can I ask what happened, exactly? Up until the point where they found you.

be willing to share what he saw]

She's not going to ask, not when he was deliberately vague about it in the first place. ]
That doesn't sound like a pleasant time.
no subject
.... it wasn't.

no subject
... So when you attacked them, do you remember that at all? Or might that have happened while you were undergoing your trials?
