Xie Lian and I were encouraged to a room with two chairs. We sat in the chairs and words prompted us to let us know an enemy attack was coming - and asked if we were ready. Upon selecting 'Yes', we were knocked unconscious.
While unconscious... we encountered a few - emotional trials, I suppose. Difficult circumstances conjured from our pasts and our fears. I'm not sure of what he saw.
But nonetheless, we persisted and managed to escape. I only hope that sharing our experiences will make others feel more prepared in case they encounter similarly.
.... I just think that it's commonplace for people to be worried about what others think about them. I wouldn't call it a strength or weakness - just a facet of being a person.
So to hear that you've moved past that... it surprising.
I learned to shrug off that worry at a rather early age, I think. Though I would have liked to think I would have grown out of it on my own, that's hard to say.
But it just means I can help the girls I work with get closer to it themselves.

[though he takes a sip of his tea so he might not
be willing to share what he saw]

She's not going to ask, not when he was deliberately vague about it in the first place. ]
That doesn't sound like a pleasant time.

.... it wasn't.
But nonetheless, we persisted and managed to escape. I only hope that sharing our experiences will make others feel more prepared in case they encounter similarly.

... So when you attacked them, do you remember that at all? Or might that have happened while you were undergoing your trials?

[which like
sucked]
I'd never really felt bloodlust like that before.

[he doesn't seem to mind admitting that - ]
But it's not in my temperament to actually hold another in contempt, no.

Are you familiar with acts of bloodshed as well, Dorothy?
You needn't answer - if you're uncomfortable.

But I also don't like being hurt.
no subject
Mm, I understand.
No one can blame you for acting in defense of yourself, and what's important to you.

[ It's just a natural thing, to her. People will get upset, and that's fine. ]

[he sounds a bit surprised]
You're very self-possessed.

[ And she says this so dryly. ]
no subject
[he'll say that first but]

Ah, is that how you're familiar with Ange? Blanca mentioned something along those lines...
no subject
It's not just her, of course, she's just the only one who also wound up here.
no subject
[and his expression softens as he seems to sincerely believe this]
Though I naturally wish that both of you didn't have to endure this at all.

Ange and I will manage.
