Nobility in spirit rather than merely in blood, you mean. I cannot say I disagree.

Though it is sometimes equally true that they make weaker leaders, for an inability to recognize that the occasional sacrifice cannot be avoided. They shy too far away from anything that may harm the populace at all, shelter them, and are inevitably overcome.

I doubt such a thing is possible. Not with the ways of humanity.

[softness will inevitably be taken as weakness. gentleness will not be strong enough to withstand conflict. in the end, the baser sides of humanity will win out.]
