Yeah. It happened the last time we were in the woods, too, but I thought this time would be different knowing what to look for. [ he interprets that to mean this area specifically and not the entirety of purgatory. ] We should be on guard again.
Not at present... but at any rate, it doesn't seem like it's possible to go back—not to the area with the candy house, at least.
So the implication is that we must proceed onward and hope that things come to us as we go... I wonder if there are certain checkpoints we should be hitting along the way?
[ the idea of being driven forward with no payoff really does make him nervous. ]
That's definitely possible, too. I don't know which option is worse when you think about it. But I've been wondering if the only way back out really is the way we came in, and if that's true we almost have to make a loop.
I'm not sure how many more of these location shifts to expect, then...
[ the way that the 7 deadly sins and virtues are fucking catholic so that there's no way for soo-won to even remotely guess at their relation and there are no fucking books/libraries for me to have him learn from. help ]
[ he hasn't quite figured out it's a seven deadly sins thing because he's also not religious in the slightest, but. ]
At least a few more if it feels like we've barely started. I might ask around to see if anybody else has ideas, or if they've experienced anything in the maze that'd give us a clue. It feels like everybody's gathering different information.
This is why I think it's so important to talk to people and get to know them better. If people's heads are getting screwed with, we should know them enough to be able to tell and try to snap them out of it.
It seems like many people are having their worst fears dredged up to haunt them... In any case, we'll be getting to know each other well one way or another.
So I'll hope, at the very least, the compassionate spirit persists.

That's too bad. That it seems like danger lurks in every corner, that is.

You think maybe reaching these new areas are the checkpoints? Like stops along the way.

[ thoughtful... ]
Unless this is meant to be one large loop, and we'll return to it eventually...

Mm, I agree... Dangers seem to be lurking for many, and temporary effects seize their minds... Regardless, we should move forward cautiously.

I'll be fine.
Do what you need... and let me know if I can help with anything.

I will. [ if he can overcome his own shame about being weak. but cool, goodbye! ]
