[god i hope that zuko and hilda got together while soo-won was fucking dead.
but he's in the kitchen! he's making tea! my god is this man consistent. he will be in the kitchen making tea and it's very floral and very fragrant - the usual for him. he pours cups for everyone and then moves to sit down.]
[ well two of the girls she'd killed have not shown up to yell at her, so she assumes things are fine. maybe. fine enough since everyone's alive. she hums over her tea. ]
No, that's all we have to work with too, as far as I know.
[ she knows jack shit about technology. this group sucks. ]
I read a few books on technology - a virus is something that can create a piece of it to malfunction, from what I understand, though I can't say that I know much more about it.
[currently dana's theory is that we're in a video game and the save slot keeps getting rebooted every time we fuck up so all our memories are rewritten. just hitting the giant reset button.]
I can try to do some more reading tonight, I suppose...
I barely did anything on the other side, in truth. Sharon and Yoshizawa were already plenty organized - I simply offered up what I could to assist them.
I feel like I have to earn my keep again. So Zuko and I can take to reading, and Hilda has earned herself a long, luxurious nap.
You spent every waking moment putting your nose in other people's business and getting things done, and you got murdered. I'd say that's plenty. Both of you can nap.
[though it's just a half-hearted argument, and he seems mostly happy that zuko cares. the tsun!!
he turns to hilda and hums thoughtfully at that]
Certainly. It was all of us - and we were in a small house. The walls were largely white, and we owed it to Sharon to take care of most of the chores, I assume. She's quite effective.
They were working on confirming how many kills each team possessed - which, as we've confirmed, are obviously at least two each. Tiger's team had a few extra, as did Wolf's. It seemed that the Leaders would occasionally be able to visit the departed as well. We could see some part of what you all were doing in images that lined the walls, but we actually didn't stay very long.
We began our journeys back the same day that I woke up. It was the same as what you've all been describing - largely just matters in which we traveled through each other's memories.
[ when he talks about tiger and wolf's kills, zuko just stares down into his tea, before squeezing his eyes shut. he doesn't say anything, for a moment. ]
...
I guess it really did all come down to memories in the end. But we all got them back.
[soo-won is just going to glance over at zuko and, honestly he's going to cover his other hand and also give it a brief squeeze.
he still does not realize he's in an ot3]
I don't believe so - it seems like some teams always failed to restore. However, we took every precaution that we could in order to ensure a perfect revival.
I believe we're successful. Now we just need to finish it at the very end.
[ no he's just going to start reading a computers for dummies book. ]
This is the furthest we've gotten. [ that much much is for sure. he kind of makes a noncommittal noise at the faith in us -- he does have faith in them, specifically, and maybe even a little in himself, but. ]
... So we can't afford to screw it up, on our last chance.
It's a bit unfortunate they weren't able to save Dorothy.... though it sounds like things got complicated at the end.
[he couldn't see it but he also sounds like he's figured out what happened? once again, i hate this man.]
That said, I don't intend on allowing for failure. We'll make our preparations, but don't forget to rest. We'll need you at your sharpest tomorrow, and that involves eating and sleeping.
Maybe I should make a tea that'll make it easier to head to bed....
[he wants everyone to be able to sleep well!! everyone enjoy your tea.]
.... no, I don't think so either. Even I couldn't have predicted something like that. Everyone meant well, but... I suppose it's just a matter of trying to make it up to her.
[for simultaneously bolstering and also tearing down her odds of survival? what an odd situation for someone to be in.]
I think getting everyone home and ending this once and for all should hopefully be motivator enough for all of us.
week 7, friday
but he's in the kitchen! he's making tea! my god is this man consistent. he will be in the kitchen making tea and it's very floral and very fragrant - the usual for him. he pours cups for everyone and then moves to sit down.]
It's good to be with both of you again.
[he does seem like
remarkably relaxed now that they're settled]
no subject
You too.
... Just like old times, except the murder's done with. Or had better be done with.
[ now they just have to kill a monster. ]
no subject
Finally! I'm so glad we can be past all that nasty murder business.
[ it says light when she says it, but it has weighed on all of them. ]
Now onto this... virus. Though that's a fight for tomorrow.
no subject
[so uh, hopefully that nasty murder business is done? god he hopes so.]
But... yes - we'd heard the same. Though someone indicated that it may have something to do with technology? Computers?
no subject
I haven't heard anything about it.
[ bc sipp has been blind ]
no subject
No, that's all we have to work with too, as far as I know.
[ she knows jack shit about technology. this group sucks. ]

[please stop working]
no subject
[ but yeah they are all ye oldes and they suck ]
Take a break, for once in your life. I'll do the reading.
[ it'll give him something to focus on. ]
no subject
You just got back, and you're ready to throw yourself at work again? Typical.
[ she'll keep them company, though. ]
no subject

[ ah yes the tsun ]
no subject
Yes, let's. But first, why don't you take a second to catch us up on how things were on the other side, Won?
no subject
[though it's just a half-hearted argument, and he seems mostly happy that zuko cares. the tsun!!

'extra' kills were almost inevitable with the system. she and won and risked it too. at least it all worked out. ]
We did. Even the leaders... that must be a good sign. From the sounds of it, none of the other cycles have restored themselves this well.

[ i refuse to dump his manpain on this convo so ]
It's not a monster, but a... thing, screwing with the system? How are we supposed to defeat it?
no subject
I haven't the faintest. If we've never made it this far before, I think we're about to wade into some uncharted territory...
[ it's daunting! she's daunted. but she has some nice tea and all of them, so she keeps it together. ]
But we've managed pretty well so far, if I do say so myself.
no subject
regardless, soo-won seems pretty... calm in this situation? god, he's always calm.
but in truth, he feels similarly. right now he's with some of the people he trusts the most in this place, after all.]
... we have. So we'll finish it. We'll gather information tonight, rest as much as we can, and then continue until the end tomorrow.
I have faith in us.

Getting all tense about it won't help. Relaaax.
[ they won't screw up. ]
I'm just glad we've got everyone back, honestly. I know the numbers got a little close at the end there, but we did it!
no subject
[he couldn't see it but he also sounds like he's figured out what happened? once again, i hate this man.]

no subject
It wasn't my fault.
[ that's at dorothy!!! he sounds a little defensive. ]
You don't need to worry about me being sharp tomorrow. I know we need to get this done, and right.
[ soo-won is so into teamaking it's cute ]
no subject
Well, you don't have to tell me twice. I'm going to bed as soon as I can.
[ she's not lacking for self-care. ]
...And Dorothy was just an unfortunate spiral of events. I don't think there's anyone to blame. [ not the roles, or ange, or dorothy. ]
no subject
.... no, I don't think so either. Even I couldn't have predicted something like that. Everyone meant well, but... I suppose it's just a matter of trying to make it up to her.
