I believe he has succeeded, in a way, yes. I can't take any credit, though... I did leave my former employer so I could help him. He had others, too, but... he needed as much help as he could get.
And so he also wouldn't lose sight of what was most important along the way. Not revenge, but...

[it's hard to say whether or not soo-won's path manifested the same way - while he never truly sought revenge for his father's death, was never someone who wanted to turn the country upside down for the sake of redemption....
