It sounds like no matter what I do, I'm going to look suspicious...
[but
he sounds more gently amused than anything, and feels like it too. be more worried about yourself, suwu!!!]
Xie Lian told me a few days ago that Hua Cheng and Claude weren't getting along well - but he also told me that he would tell Hilda. Given that Hilda wasn't up to it this trial, I thought to look after the situation in her place. I believe that the two of them are under an effect that lasts longer than 24 hours, which would be in accordance with an effect that I'm experiencing this week as well.
I'm volunteering more information about myself than I usually would, and opening up about some things that I wouldn't answer otherwise. [BUT SOMEHOW HE MANAGED TO WORM OUT OF MENTIONING HIS EFFECT????] Please don't take advantage of it...
[hilariously
he seems to trust blanca enough that he doesn't seem that worried about it though]
[Both of his brows rise. It looks like, and feels a little like, he's debating on how to find a way to tease Soo-won with it. But he's battling with the morality of not forcing Soo-won to just blab.]
I see. And why do you think this happened? Did the Realm do it?
I think that either the Leaders used some of their powers on us - or a participant did, with a power that isn't granted by the stones. So do let me know if Fox's powers include anything that could've done this to me.
But I do think that in my case, it was well-meaning.
I'm less clear on why it happened to Hua Cheng and Claude.
When I spoke to them this week, they said they had no special powers. None now, and maybe... even none before. I don't know. They're quite elusive--like a fox.
Fox is very mean to him, but also he bullies the hell out of Fox, too. So maybe he deserves it.]
Well... I suppose that makes sense, depending on when you think Fox might be telling the truth. When I asked them to stay with me, I told them I hoped they enjoyed the smell of the sea as a joke.
But they said they liked the sea. Maybe the wind and the sea is familiar.
[ . . . . hah. soo-won manages a bit of a smile at that, wry before he lets himself take another sip of this terrible tasting tea whiskey.
and then because he can't stop himself]
.... General Joo-doh is the General of the Sky Tribe. He's a rather grouchy man, actually, so I wouldn't say that extends very much. He'd be the type that you, Hansa, and I all have fun teasing.
[ . . . ]
But he looked after me as a child - and then swore his loyalty to me after I intended to claim the throne, given his support of my father. There are times where he worries after me more than I worry after myself, and acts in conjunction with looking after me even when I don't expect it.
He's a trusted ally - and... yes, I believe that he's a friend. I like him very much.
[soo-won offers a smile at that, easygoing and simple]
You're not "only" anything, Blanca. So please don't speak that way.
Even if this place is difficult at times and I'm aware that I give you reason for concern....
I'm the one who's honored that you're willing to come along with me.
[and with every crazy idea that he has and all the stunts that he pulls - he really is genuinely grateful. blanca will feel that through the emotions, coupled with the sincerity of his affection]
[there's just a little bit of a laugh at that, and the emotions that are pulled from him are only gently amused]
I don't really need thanks. I do what I need to because I like people, and I don't want them to suffer. If there are choices that I can make to help with that, then I'll do them.
[and those words are unfortunately sincere - a complete lack of selfishness or ego.]
But I appreciate the sentiment. I hope I'll continue being someone that you can rely on, too.

Only slightly. I was wondering if you were more involved than you were letting on. You should be more careful. The two of you looked suspicious.

With what you're experiencing this week?

I think your Team Leader really lied to you.
[HE ALMOST LOOKS LIKE HE WANTS TO LAUGH WHY IS EVERYONE MEAN TO BLANCA]
At the very least, he has control over wind, I think - Wolf said they all get elements and I think I saw him harnessing it during the pirate battle.
Then your new task is to find someone who's on your team and get them to ask for you.

[soo-won's still gonna try like an annoying little shit]
But that's possible.

They can hear my conversations. I wouldn't be surprised if they told me a little white lie because they knew you were trying to use me to get answers.
So maybe you're to blame...
[He's teasing.]
no subject
... admittedly I considered that too, but it makes it quite hard to ensure that we still exchange information if I fire you....
[SOO-WON IS TAKING IT SERIOUSLY]

[He pretends to be shocked.]
You could always just ask Miss Alex to teach you sign language.

[HE'S NOT SURE ON THAT BUT]
Hmm.... but no, I'd rather not fire you.
I like your company - it reminds me of someone reliable.
[ah there's the effect]

I feel more reassured, to have you at my side.

Well, it sounds like an honor to have such a comparison even if I'm no leader and only a former lieutenant.

[But he's just teasing. It isn't a terrible thing.]
You did a good job today, not considering the issue with Hua Cheng and Claude. But even then, that too.
I don't know if anyone ever thanks you for your help when you're a king.
[Not exactly here since only a few know.]
