But I assure you I'm not seeking to make my injury worse. It's already been cleaned and dressed so it won't get infected, and I won't be doing any sudden drills or runs, that's for certain.
[she can be grumpy, soo-won's just vibing! he looks to the sky and tries to begin his explanation]
... at first it was we four, swept into a different hallway. We were separated nearly immediately, with Xie Lian and myself brought to a room where we were guided to some chairs. We were expected to sit down and a screen prompted us telling that a fight was coming, and if we were prepared. Selecting 'Yes' I was suddenly pricked in the neck and drugged - and knocked unconscious.
After that, we were forced to face a few... hardships. I'm not familiar with what he saw... but in my case, it was a number of difficult memories and experiences in my life. Apparently the choices I made there were reflected in the monsters that Ochako and Archer were fighting elsewhere.
However Ochako and Archer won, which I believe effectively killed both myself and Xie Lian. They were able to revive us with a serum... but that turned us both murderous and angry. We had to fight one another.
And so he and I were killed again, this time directly by Archer and Ochako.
[and this is why he didn't want to share this publicly, given how he's pretty sure rehashing it would just hurt ochako all over again]
I am injured - but I staunched the bleeding upon coming to my senses, so it's not readily apparent. I would like to keep it that way. It might make me an easier target if anyone knew the details.
[he sounds a little tired but he only shifts slightly as his gaze moves skyward]
... we did get a bit of information at the end. A report written by one of the leaders. It implied that they removed their mask and might come from one of our worlds, perhaps. We couldn't tell who they might be, though.
Not just yet, but I intend to. It seems like largely harmless information, but I do hope it becomes relevant given the ordeal we went through to get it.
From what I understand, it's something of a courtesy - I asked my leader to remove theirs, and they stated that since the others hadn't yet, they shouldn't either.
Just that it seems like things got a bit more tense over the weekend.... it seems like there's some worry that the a leader influenced Virid to attack Hajime.

[ casually ignoring that she might tease him instead. that's not the point. ]

There's nothing to fuss over....

That's true.

[ she reserves the right to remain grumpy. ]

... You came back after dying?
I mean - the second time.
[ well. honestly, she means both times. ]

[he's pretty careful]
So let's leave it at that, alright?

[ hrmm ]
I don't get why this place would put any of you through that.

Do you remember what it said - more specifically?

[he wrote it down on paper but.
he will actually just recite it. the whole thing from memory, explaining where it's blacked out at parts
so that's fun]

That seems like a big deal. Have you asked any of the leaders about it?

Did your leader tell you that removing their mask would be breaking the rules?
