It was always going to be a challenge given that we had two places to put our attention - and we could not decipher which direction to run to, or how to divide it well.
I heard you wanted more Snow tags, coincidentally I wanted more Dana tags
Unfortunately, while there's enough people here to cover for the directions we need to go in, so many of them are uncertain of where they can help. What they can do. They've been in their own turbulent situations, but nothing as pressing or as different as this.
We need to assess who is better suited where, and we only have so much time to do that.
While I don't believe that tears are necessarily a sign of weakness, I do think that those who are more emotionally prone likely shouldn't be expected to help in the business of handling the corpses themselves. Age isn't necessarily an indicator of competence either, but those who want to help could at the very least apply themselves to the task of learning more.
The Leaders provide books at request - so if need be, others can request books on what knowledge it is they're lacking, whether that be technology or medicine. I intend to seek out both.
I think there are many who wish to prove themselves useful - but that desire must be matched with action.
No, definitely not. There are many here who have experience with corpses, or at the very least are more desensitized to them. While we can't blindly trust any one or two people to the task, the bodies have been freely available to all of us - if someone wishes to learn more, or is confident they can accomplish something, then by all means. Experience breeds confidence, and if they can acquire tools to learn more when we're not in the midst of investigation, all the better.
We both have the sense to know we should be cautious, when sharing knowledge or skills that could benefit someone in our midst that may be a killer, but it is a possibility to consider. If there is a desire to learn something that another knows, and a willingness to follow through with action, it's a chance we can take.
Books will help, in that regards. I may join you in learning more about technology. While practice and observation have helped with the town itself, to suddenly find ourselves in that station...
Fufu, I think the technology bit is very exciting! I'll let you know if I manage to get a book on it, then. Let me know if you get anything fun from the Leaders, too? I simply wish to get a chance to read again...
[and unfortunately this nerd is fucking sincere
as for the rest of it - ]
There are some who are very eager to spread and gather information - and in truth, I don't blame them. I'm seeking some out myself, but I'm afraid of what may happen should information fall into the hands of those who may use it to needlessly harm others.
Even though... I wonder if 'needlessly' is the word to use. We've still used to truly capture the motivation of our killers, so I wonder what may have transpired...
[he looks thoughtful for a moment before offering up a smile]
Regardless, all we can do is move forward and aim to protect whoever we can, as strategically as possible.
I see quite a few new and inventive things, running a city that has the secondary function of a market. Nothing quite like that, though. [ amused, but, like - also a nerd, so it's fine ] I'll let you know if I find anything of particular interest, in the meantime.
[ He's quiet, thinking, turning the thought over in his head. ]
We won't know until we can ask, and I doubt Virid was able to give us much. This time, there was - nothing. Back to square one. [ hm ] Still, if we can give ourselves some advantage, even if it's only enough to get us on even footing with anyone that might be trying to outsmart us, or harm others...
A strategy shared with those that can follow it, and build upon it, with what information we can compile and share responsibly will be the foundation we need to give us even footing.

[just a gentle suggestion, coupled with a smile, weak as it may be]
... to say the least. Two culprits left to catch and very few leads.

Short of turning the Realm upside-down itself, though I'd say we wound up chasing our own tails at the end. We've missed... too much.
