But given the state of everything, the disarray that our guides are in, and the fact that the Realm essentially required us to put forth a name to be killed today...
It makes one wonder where the answers are meant to come from.
With our guides it's either the blind leading the blind, as the Realm doesn't give them the answers that we need, or they're willfully suppressing information. But we have no means of communicating with this place.

We only have ourselves, and the uncertainty of what we're meant to do to gather this nova. What impact it truly has, and whether another "disturbance" will happen like this one.

But steps forward need to be made regardless. It's been only a week and while it's not proceeding at the pace I'd like, it remains that we have no escape until we determine the tricks of this place.
So we'll have to start discerning truths for ourselves at some point, even if it means wading through lies to do so.

And what is the reality of situations like this, if not having to go wading through lies? We can't make the progress we want because of sheer disorganization, and lack of information, so we'll make do with what we have.
We just need to break it down to the truth. Is this a competition, or is it something more?
Well, the idea of it being a 'friendly competition' was originally posed by the Leaders as an idea to make things fun and engaging... though it's clearly gotten very out of hand.

We'll have to get to know them better and then compare information of what we're told - it would likely be the simplest way to see if anyone is actively lying.
But that also involves collecting those trustworthy enough to simultaneously not fall for deception, nor weave their own.

... I think the leaders are more incompetent at large than they are much of a hindrance, so I don't see it as being their direct fault that this has turned into what it is. The Realm hasn't given them much more than it's given us, and... well. A place with power, no matter its source, can easily result in things getting out of hand. People don't help that.

A network is what we need. There's no way to guarantee honesty, but we have no other, real choice in the matter when we're pressed for time - either we lose everything because our memories are gone, or we've lost our lives.
