It is. [he tilts his head] So perhaps it is the work of this place... though we shouldn't discard the theory they were caused by someone entirely just yet.
[it is a lot, and his expression darkens at it - given that everyone was gathered there bc they were worried about him or some other similar reason..... he can't help but feel a bit responsible
he sighs]
Though... it remains that two bodies were found. Cater and Sharon. [a beat] Did you speak to Virid last week? Have you heard anything about possible motivation?
Then allow me to share what's been brought to me -
There is a suspicion that Virid was told to eliminate Hajime, and based on the information brought to him, he didn't see a reason to oppose. It suggested a larger opponent in play, rather than simply each other. And so it seems that there are rumors that a Leader may have directed Virid to kill.
I believe there is something larger. And so.... two questions we will need to discern tomorrow - did a person who was directed to kill murder one or both of the women because of that directive? Or if it was only one, which one?
All loss of life is worth mourning - however in a situation such as this, I am less surprised that someone might have something so important to them that they'd be willing to kill over it. I find it more pressing to find the individual who killed under direction, if it will lead us to a greater enemy.
[he brings this up to Jeanne because he would hope that she understands - the need to prioritize, given that their record for being on the right track isn't that great]

We can check tomorrow, but they all seemed to be roughly the same. They're a bit...
[he
indicates
a spiral?
yea]

I won't, but for someone to go around doing that to everyone in the plaza....
[ It takes a certain kind of mindset. She's not disregarding the possibility. It's just
a lot. ]

Jeanne doesn't know that as a certainty, so there's a flash of concern at his sigh before her expression clouds over a little. ]
I did, but all he would tell me was how I didn't know him and so nothing mattered.
[ It was very edgy preteen and a little existential. ]
I don't know if there's something more at play, or if if was because he lost the right memory to give him the motive to murder.
[ Considering what he revealed at execution. ]

I suppose if we are able to discern who that individual it is, it's best to vote away from them.
[ If they want more answers. ]

On the contrary - I'm uncertain if they'd be willing to cooperate with us if they didn't have the fear of death looming overhead.
[there's not much incentive to share if you know you're gonna live]

[ But it's a hypothetical, and they won't know until they actually find a suspect. ]
