Fufu, I actually am trying to mostly recreate a kind that I've had before. It's not nearly as good as Lady Yun-ho's, but it's familiar enough to be nostalgic.
[comforting, even. he'll go to sit in the center of the planetarium, because why not]
And you? Is it another item on your long list of skills?
[Following along, settling down on the floor with his legs tucked underneath. It still puts him at a considerable height for one who is technically kneeling, but at least he's not towering over Soo-Won, either]
Live long enough and skills tend to follow you.
[Glancing at the other's tea with interest, though]
I think that pales in comparison to true talent, however.
I'll share with Lady Yun-ho that the famous Archer enjoyed tea inspired by her own. I'll do my best to get you the real item one day.
[but... well,]
... mm. I think that's the case for a lot of things that seem appealing. I don't mean to make light of what hardships you might have faced either - in the extended time that you have.
[it's more time to learn - but it's also more time to suffer.
... even so, soo-won doesn't look like he entirely takes back his interest in it]
[Arching his brows lightly at that "famous" part - not even because Soo-Won is incorrect, but it continues to be a strange dance for him, pretending he is lesser than his past while still always being tied to it in subtle ways.]
No, you didn't make light of anything. I cannot pretend my long life hasn't offered me many opportunities.
[More than he can count, frankly. His eyes tick up towards the stars while the cup warms his hands.
... But when he next speaks, it's of... business, frankly, though his tone remains ever mild]
soo-won sips his tea in thought before he answers, and then:]
In truth, it's a farce.
[the smile drops after that, expression turning contemplative]
Virid seemed mild enough, but we don't know much about him. There's a chance he would've been like that even if we weren't plucked into this situation, but it remains that we are. The Realm allowed all this to happen, and encourages it.
If we were to remove Virid of our own volition, that would be one thing.
But the rules that have been imposed upon us are more like shackles.
[A soft hum. He doesn't interject but listens with the occasional nod as Soo-Won speaks his mind]
Yes... should there be anymore bloodshed, there's no reason to think the same rules won't be imposed upon us. There is very little in the way for mercy or flexibility.
[Glancing down at his tea]
And the burden of finding the guilty might overwhelm a few in our ranks. [They were, frankly, falling apart towards the end -- and then absolutely shattered when Pikachu died]
[how easily he speaks of anyone younger than him - even those who appear less experienced than him - as if they're children.]
While I believe it's impossible to live a life without hardship... this is heavy and sudden at once. Until they can stand on their own, we'll have our attention split minding them as well as addressing the trouble ahead.
It's likely difficult, given the belief that all life is precious. Which is true.... but I also think it's a bit of a concept limited to those with fortunate lives to believe that all violence is equal to malice.
[and soo-won looks rather thoughtful at that, if saddened]
It would be nice, if none here had experiences in which they were taught that harming another was the only way to accomplish what they wish.
However that is not reality. It becomes a matter of how do we lift up alternatives to bloodshed, when acting swiftly and fatally is rewarded in the current system?
There are rewards to killing, yes, but a very strong punishment in place as well. Should we consistently be able to track down any killers, that in itself might be the long-term deterrent we need.
[...]
Except that will take time, of course. Any death that happens is one too many. So it comes down to the alternatives; in that regard we will be relying heavily on the help of our Leaders. I do believe reasserting our connection to them might alleviate some of the fears, if only briefly.
It would be nice if the leaders provided a more unified front - I'd been trying to suggest that to them, but it seems as though they're a bit divided themselves.
In addition, there is perhaps better ways to collect nova - and so we need to discern what those are first, before we jump into killing one another.
After all, if suddenly there are not enough of us left to generate nova - that poses an issue for the greater universe.

[but he can't deny that! he's done this a few times]
I hope you'll like my brew as well. It's very floral.

[but he'll pour a cup and offer it out to chiron, even though he has his own.
soo-won will then pour one for himself]
But you're right. Talented people are amazing.

There is a pleased hum, and a glance down at the cup]
Yes, I can taste the hints of floral you mentioned. It is very good.
[... Ha. Though that comment about lifespans. His lips twitch slightly]
There are blessings and curses to such a life, of course.

"Children" he says, when to Chiron he also seems criminally young.]
It was a burden that I was prepared for the moment I arrived. My duty hasn't changed.
[Even given the increased weight of those responsibilities... no. Nothing has really changed in that regard]
Even still, it will take time for them to acclimate... But in their grief, they must be careful not to condemn another through their actions.
