[ she looks like she almost forgot about the monkey?! glancing down at it for a second. ]
Um... Probably. We were both in the ruins last night, and I know funny things happen when you sleep out there sometimes. [ a beat. ] It gets lonely out here by yourself, anyway, right?
[ at that, she just sort of... smiles sadly, then moves on. it was not a great night. amputations, it turns out, are stressful and traumatic!! anyway. ]
Actually, I wanted to talk to you about something - what you said earlier, about following the rules and not sharing teams...
... There might be more to it than just the rules and the nova. I think sharing our teams is the best shot we have at getting out of here.
[ she pets the monkey's fur idly while she speaks. ]
I've met with my entire team just recently. If we can get all our teams to start working together and sharing knowledge instead of competing, we might have a chance.
I'd like to ask which team that is - if only because if all of you know each other, it might be nice to have one representative I can pass information to, without repeating myself... but I am aware of the warning I gave.
It is impressive, right? I was amazed! I can't take credit for it, though.
[ one of her teammates is an overachiever. ]
I can tell you some other time, maybe... But I did want to tell you that much. This whole world is shaped by us. If we can put our heads and our hearts together, I think we can make it a better one - one without these nasty rules.
[he manages a smile at that, gently amused and pleased with her optimism]
That's a nice way of thinking. I hope that it ends up being true.
Then if you're willing to share with me, I'm willing to listen. I'd like to work together as much as possible in order to resolve the mysteries of this place.
[ she's trying very hard not to let the decapitated teenager from earlier linger in her thoughts. ]
I would, too - especially with you, Won. You've been really great to me, and you're smart, too. [ earnestly! ] Even if you don't have a wish, I'm making sure you get home safe and sound.
[he looks a little surprised at that - but the smile he gives in return is a little amused, and a little touched]
.... well, I'd like to get home. But I don't think there's anything that makes me more or less helpful than everyone else. We're all trying our best, aren't we?
So we all ought to return home. I'll move forward with you, hoping for nothing short of that.
Glad to hear it. We can make sure something like this doesn't happen again. [ because she doesn't know emet-selch is going to survive getting mufasa'd tomorrow... ] Has your leader said much to you about their intentions?
Not exactly. But all of them have different information available to them, and... well, we're pretty sure that at least one team is telling their members to kill people. That's not the kind of thing they'd just admit, so we have to figure it out some other way.
No, that's not quite it.... There isn't one singular team telling members to kill - that was an accusation made hastily by Swan toward the beginning, but I believe it's since been debunked.
After all, there is no true merit in killing - it doesn't even generate that much nova. A Leader has nothing to gain by encouraging others to kill.

Ah... yes....
[ . . . ]
Is this monkey at all related to Rufus' monkey....?

[ it's definitely related to rufus's monkey ]

just going to be a bit of a laugh at that. soo-won himself smells faintly of animal but maybe that's harder to tell when she has her own MONKEY]
... I see. I'm glad then, that you were able to spend time with one another that way.

So it may be a bit too soon still to ask.

Well, they certainly don't want any of us to be killing without reserve, if that's what you mean.
Is there something else I should be asking?
