.... My father was killed because of politics, not in battle. Though... he was stabbed, so perhaps it was partially a fight. [a beat] Someone heard his last words and relayed them to me.
I think I would have cared for my country and other people no matter what.... but hearing what my Father wished with his final breath - that is what solidified my intent.
[ . . . ]
When I was gone on Thursday, and they were trying to torture me emotionally... they showed me my father, lying in the ravine he'd fallen to in his death.
no, she... listens. she listens intently, enough that her ear twitches. there's a certain amount of respect she has for this, for just... giving up information. she keeps her eyes on her hand. ]
That's cruel. [ she says, quietly. she doesn't know what else to say, but she wants him to know she's listening, even if she's not very good at this. ]
[and he'll finish tying up her hand - it seems that he doesn't mind that she's not good at this. he doesn't really expect anyone to be. he's fairly aware of how painful his life is, and this... is also partially why
[and he'll sigh at that faintly before going on - ]
I reviewed some of the locations and evidence gathered today. While I can't decipher the exact steps... I believe that Cater awoke first, realizing that someone would kill her. The writing suggested that she wanted to enter a typical fight with them, and lead them away from Yona. That eliminates Yona as a suspect. [he will be so fucking quick to say this]
However there was a room that seemed - odd. I believe that whoever killed Cater has knowledge of the virtual room, and also the type of setting created. That can eliminate some suspects who aren't used to that type of architecture.
Furthermore, Dorothy and a few other girls were feeling strangely after waking up in the garden - but there was no additional evidence found in the garden. Which leads me to believe that something odd might have happened there, and I'd like to inspect that group more closely to see if they used a similar technique to what I did - hiding myself amidst the others in my group.

anyway,]
.... no, I expect it.
[he's not freaked out about it - he fears it, the same as anyone else, but... he considers it so much more often than the normal person]
It would be unsurprising if I were to die painfully - but it does not mean I will not keep from resisting.

Sometimes you say things and it, like, really bums me out. [ mildly. ] Resisting is good. I'm not going to let it happen to you.

Sorry.
I'll try to refrain - I don't mean to make you sad.

[ she looks down at her hand, flexing and unflexing it. ]
You've heard my entire sob story, dude, kind of feels - unequal, sometimes, but like. Whatever. [ ... ] Anyway.

he'll
go to her hand then and - if her bindings from before still seemed loose or clumsy, he'll move to rewrap it.
he offers a soft smile]
.... normally people don't care to hear my story.

[ her bindings are very clumsy, because wrapping your own hand is hard and sucks. but. she'll let him do it. ]
no subject
but he'll just smile at that]
You're my favorite kind of people.
[ . . . . and he'll just. work on her hand.]

very calmly
as he works on fixing her hand]

he doesn't share that much.
but he'll press his forehead against hers gently]
Thank you for listening.

I will, whenever. [ she says, after a moment. ] I uh - I don't mind carrying some of it.
Look, tomorrow? We're gonna get through the circus. Okay? So you can keep caring.

What do you mean feeling strangely?
