Fufu, do you think? I suppose my mother has always said that I possess a healthy sense of curiosity.
[and he doesn't seem ashamed of this!! he should be ashamed]
I would say it's a relative matter.
My footing is fairly stable - it slips at times, due to a lack of information, but I'm seeking to remedy that.
For others here, I think their foundation was different to begin with. Those who do not deal with matters of death, who are not accustomed to cruelty... it's startling. I think they'll need a little bit more leverage and time to feel at ease.
Ah, no - with this entire situation? Certainly not. It's infuriating, and even adults and those well into their immortal lives are struggling with it.
But I would hope that with time, those who are currently ailing may be able to find ease within themselves - comfortable with what they can and cannot do.
They'll be knocked down a few more times... but I hope they'll be able to get back up again.
[too much curiosity can be, when it annoys him personally. but they're not yet there, and he moves on.]
They may, or they may not. That is going to be up to their own strength or weakness, and those who are loudest in their insistence are often among the latter.
[too much determination, and failure will become too much to bear in turn.]
It is a duty, not a diversion to be indulged in. Not to say that there are not parts of it which can be, but on the whole, I would expect few of any worth to say they truly enjoyed their tenure.
I will admit, it is possible that I see it somewhat differently after many times in such a position-- but in many eras, the weight of responsibility it carries would prevent one from having much room to enjoy it. Some do thrive in that situation, yes, but few should enjoy the sorts of decisions that sometimes must be made.
I can see the reason for that. I don't have much desire for leadership or thrones myself - but I do think that it's also often the position from which you can do the most good, purely from the duties that you have at your fingertips.
Similarly, it is also the position at which you can do the most harm.

[as much science as medieval fantasy korea can have but]
I suppose I am just someone who operates best with more stable footing.

[those who find knowledge in books do tend to be the type to seek it in other forms, too.]
How unstable do you find that footing to be thus far?

[and, after a few moments to take all of that answer in:]
And you believe that they will feel at ease, with any of this? Some will adjust, I am sure, but it is doubtful that all will.

Ah. Should I be addressing you as Your Majesty?
[he looks gently amused at this for some reason]

[what's funny about it, soo-won. that gets an arched brow.]
The proper address in Garlemald would be 'Your Radiance', but I find myself somewhat weary of hearing it.

Wow...
Sounds incredibly luxurious. [your RADIANCE] Did you not enjoy your position as Emperor then?

You think that people are unlikely to enjoy positions of leadership?
