It is almost as if this place wishes to try our patience.

[a slight roll of his eyes, there.]

Though I do suppose it was more organized than it has been. Small mercies.

It would, but then all would need to agree to it. Otherwise, time is wasted attempting to organize those who prefer to do as they please, or who simply dislike taking those directions from the particular person giving them.

[he really can't say he would care to take direction from just anyone, either.]

Conflicting ideas on how to best manage such a structure could also prove to be a problem.

Which, as we have seen, is as much a trial as the trial itself.

[a huff of a sigh, at that. what a pain.]

Nothing for it but to attempt to watch and guide, I suppose, though I would much prefer if it were unnecessary...

'Interesting' is certainly a word for it. Exhausting is another-- I do not know where some of them get their boundless energy. It has been a very long time since I was young myself, however.

[he just sighs a breath out through his nose, waves a hand almost dismissively.]

Am I not, in comparison to the rest of you?

It isn't as though it should be unexpected, I would think.

[but he doesn't sound as exasperated as he could.]

At this point, I do believe it to be unnecessary.

[a slight hum, and- well. he may as well say this more often, perhaps it will get some of the others to stop appending suffixes to his name.

if he's already told soo-won this then my defense is it's late.]

'Emet-Selch' is a title in itself; that is formality enough.

I have a given name, yes... but it is traditional for members of the guiding Convocation to take the title of our seat as our own name, thus embodying our duty. My original name has not been used in quite some time.

I would not be angry, no, but for the time being-- I would not give it to you if you were to ask.

[it's more something earned, as far as he's concerned; it's a little early yet.]

I know naught of what they may have told you of their own, but I will say mine is something of a different case.

[with a slight wave of a hand, though:]

You may ask. I will make you no promises about the future.

You could say so, yes. There are but two people living who know of it.

No, they are not.

[the name is hard mode, essentially.]

-what, had you expected him to know?

[just. arching a brow.]
